Core Technology Innovation of FAWDE China VI Vehicle Emission Standard (GB6)
GB 6 power assembly is the core technology of complete vehicle. FAW Jiefang boasts complete diesel and natural gas powered platforms. GB6 diesel-powered product platform is characterized with high efficiency, high reliability and long life. There are totally 8 platforms, and 11 model products, with the displacement ranging from 2 to 13L and power from 110Ps to 560Ps. GB6 natural gas engine product platform is characterized with clean, low carbon and strong power.
Powertrain Division Manufacturing
The powertrain division has three engine production bases, one transmission production base, and one axle production base. The standard production capacity of engines is 362000 units, the capacity of transmissions is 271000 units, and the capacity of axles is 400000 units. Among them, Huishan Base was shortlisted for the 2016 Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

FAW special compression release engine braking technology, with the braking power up to 330kW, when combined with the hydraulic retarder for intelligent control, can improve the safe downhill speed of the complete vehicle to over 70km/h.
