Apr. 24, 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, FAWDE reported resounding success in its overseas markets: engine sales rose 14% year-on-year, while transmission sales grew by 23%. Leveraging its formidable core capabilities, the company continues to achieve significant breakthroughs in the global arena.

Global Footprint

During the first quarter, FAWDE’s overseas operations flourished across multiple fronts, with sales performance in various regions proving exceptional and serving as the core pillar of its international growth.

The Southeast Africa region witnessed rapid market expansion; notably, the Tanzanian market delivered an outstanding performance, driving the region's cumulative sales up by 130.3% year-on-year. Sales in the Kenyan region also surged significantly, with flagship models such as the JK6 and JH6 skyrocketing by 210.1% year-on-year, establishing them as the core engines of regional growth. Meanwhile, the Northwest Africa region steadily advanced its rollout of complete vehicles, achieving a 94.6% year-on-year increase in sales.

In the Latin America region, the Mexican market got off to a strong start, while the Peruvian and Chilean markets also celebrated a successful opening quarter; collectively, the region saw its first-quarter sales rise by 87.3% year-on-year.

The Southeast Asia region recorded a year-on-year sales increase of over 150%, demonstrating robust market growth momentum. The Central Asia region saw sales rise by 8% year-on-year, reflecting steady and healthy market expansion.

Igniting Growth Momentum

Having cultivated overseas markets for many years, FAWDE remains steadfastly user-centric. The company continues to intensify its efforts in new product development and the strategic deployment of high-end offerings, providing global users with power solutions precisely tailored to local operating environments—thereby injecting powerful momentum into its market expansion initiatives.

In Peru, the successful introduction of the first batch of eight high-end Jiefang J7 tractor trucks—equipped with CA6SX1 natural gas engines—marked a pivotal milestone: FAWDE’s natural gas product line achieved its inaugural breakthrough in the Latin American market. Subsequent market activities—including test drives for prospective buyers and customer follow-up visits—have generated sustained enthusiasm, laying a solid foundation for Jiefang to deepen its presence in Latin America and extend its influence across the entire South American market.

In Australia, Jiefang has strategically positioned itself within the high-horsepower market. By focusing on the specific requirements of local transport scenarios, the company continues to secure new orders for its J7 models, which are powered by FAWDE’s CA6DX1 engines. Currently, 20 customized J7 tractor trucks have completed production and assembly and are poised for market launch, poised to help the Jiefang brand achieve new breakthroughs in the high-end heavy-duty truck segment.

In South Africa, the launch of the new J7-Euro V high-end heavy-duty truck—powered by FAWDE’s CA6DM3 engine—has garnered significant attention from stakeholders across the local industry. This heavy-duty truck model was engineered specifically for long-haul logistics scenarios in South Africa; thanks to its exceptional performance, superior comfort, and intelligent management systems, it has garnered widespread market acclaim. At the launch ceremony, a procurement agreement for 100 units was signed on the spot with a major client. Market enthusiasm has remained undiminished since then, with the brand continuing to secure substantial follow-up orders—thereby powerfully ushering in a "Golden Era" for FAW Jiefang’s premium heavy-duty trucks across Southern Africa.

Comprehensive Support, Every Step of the Way

The steady growth in sales is inextricably linked to comprehensive service support. FAWDE continues to refine its overseas service network, establishing a full-chain assurance system that combines "localized service" with "remote support." FAWDE’s resident overseas personnel proactively deploy to the front lines, embedding themselves in the field to conduct targeted training on product technology and operational maintenance, thereby bridging the "last mile" of service delivery.

In the Laotian market—where sales of mining dump trucks are on the rise—resident staff member Li Sihang focused his efforts on the harsh operating environments typical of mining zones. Over the course of four days, traveling between the cities of Vientiane and Thakhek, he conducted training sessions for fleet drivers covering safe driving practices and routine vehicle maintenance. Additionally, he provided dual-track training—encompassing both sales and after-sales service—for the staff of local dealerships. By seamlessly integrating theoretical instruction with hands-on vehicle demonstrations regarding driving techniques and maintenance protocols, he established a comprehensive service delivery pipeline extending all the way from the dealership to the end-user.

In Guinea, the Jiefang brand has earned market recognition through its robust product capabilities, evidenced by a steady increase in market share during the first quarter of 2026. Addressing the local challenge of newly hired drivers lacking formal, systematic training, FAWDE resident staff member Lu Ni proactively collaborated with local service centers. Together, they reached out to ten core fleets to launch a "one-on-one" precision empowerment training program. By tailoring guidance to each driver's specific operating habits and areas for improvement, they effectively ensured the stable operation of the vehicles and the smooth progress of construction projects.

Togo has emerged as a rapidly expanding market for Jiefang heavy-duty trucks, witnessing a sharp surge in cumulative sales during the first quarter. To address the critical need for local drivers to gain expertise in safe and fuel-efficient driving, FAWDE resident staff member Ding Ding traveled to the capital city of Lomé. There, he conducted specialized training sessions focused on the FAWDE CA6DM2 engine, providing detailed explanations on proper braking techniques and fuel-saving strategies. These four training sessions reached over fifty drivers, significantly enhancing customer understanding of the product and providing a substantial boost to the dealers' confidence in expanding their market presence.

Moving forward, FAWDE will continue to deepen its global market presence, iteratively upgrade its core product portfolio, and refine its end-to-end service system. By driving steady growth in overseas sales, the company aims to enable the power of "China's Core" to traverse the globe, thereby injecting powerful momentum into the Jiefang brand's journey toward globalization.
