On the evening of October 27, CCTV's financial program featured reports titled "New Energy Heavy Trucks Selling Stronger During Peak Season, Companies Operating at Full Capacity" and "Exports Increase Significantly, China's New Energy Heavy Trucks Accelerate Overseas Expansion," focusing on the rapid growth in sales of new energy vehicles and the accelerated expansion of overseas markets by Chinese commercial vehicle companies. FAW Jiefang's outstanding performance attracted particular attention.
September and October are traditionally peak seasons, and the sales figures are even more impressive. According to domestic BeiDou terminal sales data, FAW Jiefang became the only company to achieve a "double crown" in the domestic medium and heavy-duty truck market that month, with sales of 13,700 traditional medium and heavy-duty trucks (25.7% market share) and 3,800 new energy medium and heavy-duty trucks (17.6% market share). It held the top position in both the traditional and new energy truck segments.

According to domestic Beidou terminal sales data, from January to September this year, FAW Jiefang sold 90,000 traditional vehicles, accounting for 25.8% of the market share, maintaining its absolute number one position in the industry; sold 18,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for 15.1% of the market share, a 3.1% increase over last year, achieving the fastest growth rate; and sold 36,000 NG vehicles, accounting for 28.0% of the market share, maintaining its absolute number one position in the industry.

FAW Jiefang's impressive market performance stems from its multi-dimensional strategic layout and product development capabilities: In the traditional vehicle sector, FAW Jiefang has focused on advancing the J7 series product lineup and launched the new "Eagle Array Series" to solidify its market foundation. In the natural gas vehicle market, FAW Jiefang continues to enhance its product premium capabilities, precisely adapting to core market segments such as short- and medium-distance logistics, green channel transportation, and coal hauling, while simultaneously completing comprehensive upgrades to key products and assemblies such as the J6V and Eagle Flight.

Furthermore, regarding its new energy transformation, FAW Jiefang launched its "15333" new energy strategy as early as 2021, making it one of the earliest companies in the commercial vehicle industry to deeply cultivate the new energy sector. Currently, it has achieved full independent control over the core technologies of electric drive systems (battery, motor, and electronic control system), deeply integrated the entire industry chain, and built a complete industrial ecosystem covering key components such as self-developed battery packs, motors and electric drive axles, and electric drive boxes. Next, FAW Jiefang will continue to accelerate breakthroughs in the field of intelligent connectivity, successively launching L2++ and L4 level products, and simultaneously developing intelligent cockpits to help customers create value more comfortably.
New energy heavy-duty trucks have not only seen a surge in sales domestically, but have also seized opportunities in the international market, achieving remarkable performance overseas. According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to September this year, exports of new energy commercial vehicles reached 64,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times. New energy heavy-duty trucks are a significant component of this new energy commercial vehicle market.

Amid this industry-wide export boom, FAW Jiefang has achieved solid results in its export business. From January to September this year, total exports reached 40,000 vehicles, with particularly strong growth in key markets such as Guinea, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia, where the increase exceeded 130%.

These achievements stem from two core areas of continuous and in-depth development: First, the internationalization strategy has been continuously accelerated, with the entire system empowering overseas business development. In 2024, FAW Jiefang launched its "SPRINT 2030" internationalization strategy, marking a qualitative leap in its globalization strategy. To deepen localized operations and create a "born global" product matrix, FAW Jiefang is steadily advancing the construction of eight subsidiaries in Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and other countries, as well as overseas manufacturing centers. The Saudi subsidiary is expected to officially commence operations by the end of this year. Simultaneously, 13 new offices have been added globally, and key personnel have been drawn from the domestic marketing system to form overseas marketing task forces, strengthening frontline overseas marketing capabilities and deeply embedding the channel network in global target markets.
Second, core competitiveness has been solidified through superior product strength. Relying on forward-looking R&D and rapid iteration, the proportion of main products such as the seventh and sixth generations has exceeded 85%, and high-end products such as the J7 and Eagle Journey have successfully entered the international market, achieving a leap from "participating in competition" to "leading value."

In the future, FAW Jiefang will be driven by innovation and transformation, aiming at its annual sales target, focusing on growth drivers of both volume and profit, and supported by continued efforts in new energy and deepening of its overseas presence, moving at full speed toward its goal of becoming a leading provider of green and intelligent transportation solutions in China and a world-class enterprise!
